Youth Program: Practicing a Conservation Science in the Museum

S.U.M. conducted a program on becoming a conservation scientist in the museum for the students in elementary, middle and high schools. Those students who participated in the program learned how relics in museums are restored to their original shapes and forms after going through conservation process. They practiced a conservation science with model earthenware of the Silla Dynasty. They learned through the classes the theory of how treasures in museums are preserved and managed. Through practice they also realized the importance of keeping our cultural heritage.
