Geunsarok is a rare woodblock print from the Goryeo period, which includes excerpts from Chinese philosophers of Daoism from the Song Dynasty, like Zhou Dunyi, Cheng Yi , and Zhang Zai. It is a reader in Neo-Confucianism with 622 sections categorized in to 14 parts about achieving self-development and governing one’s home to govern one’s country and the world, as well as requirements for everyday life. This is a private copy owned by the Seongsan Lee clan and dated 1370 (19th year of King Gongmin of Goryeo). It is a reprinted version of the second of 14 volumes.
