This coat is part of a military uniform that comes with a hat, belt, and shoes. The coat was worn as a uniform by officials during the Japanese invasion of Joseon in 1592. During the King Youngjo period (1694-1776), it was worn during royal parades and while serving as an envoy to a foreign country. High-rank officials wore navy color coats, while low-rank officials wore dark blue coats, but they wore red when travelling outside the city. This coat, which was worn by Heung-wan Gun, has knot buttons on the right sleeve to make it comfortable to shoot arrows.
